Hello and Welcome to Beautiful by Design

Hello and thankyou for checking in today. 
I would like to extend a big welcome to you for this my first blog.

My name is Marie and I have owned the business for just over 1 year now, so November is  a celebratory month.

Beautiful by Design was born out of my love of transforming old unloved furniture pieces to avoid landfill mainly by painting it to bring it up to date. 

While researching my options to open a shop I came across a furniture paint brand which matched my idea of being environmentally friendly.
After trying the products for myself and conversations with Pamela Gruhn (Founder and Owner) my relationship with Frenchic began.
I became an official stockist of these fabulous products and have never looked back.

I run hands on workshops to allow people the chance to learn techniques and have a go at upcycling and transforming pieces themselves.

Often you will find me painting and transforming away in the shop, so it really is hands on.

I also stock, some quirky home decor pieces and gift items to enhance your shopping experience
